Lebanese Houmous Recipe for 4 People
Ingredients:
- 2 cans (400g each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup tahini (sesame paste)
- Juice of 1-2 lemons
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt, to taste
- Water, as needed
- Paprika, for garnish
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chickpeas:
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas under cold water.
- Blend Ingredients:
- In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, minced garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. If the houmous is too thick, add water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

- Taste and adjust the seasoning by adding more salt or lemon juice if needed.
