Chilean Churrasco Sandwich Recipe for 4 People

Ingredients:

  • 4 beef sirloin steaks (about 150g each)
  • 4 sandwich rolls (preferably marraqueta or French bread)
  • 4 slices of cheese (Cheddar or similar)
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Steaks:
    • Season the beef sirloin steaks with salt and pepper.
    • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Drizzle olive oil over the steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sandwich Rolls:
    • Cut the sandwich rolls in half horizontally.
    • Toast the rolls lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
  3. Assemble the Sandwiches:
    • Spread mayonnaise on one half of each roll and mustard on the other half.
    • Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
    • Top with a cooked steak, tomato slices, onion slices, and avocado slices.
    • Drizzle with ketchup according to taste.
  4. Serve:
    • Close the sandwiches and serve immediately.
    • You can serve the Chilean Churrasco Sandwiches with fries or a green salad on the side.
