Icelandic Salmon Recipe for 4 People

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 150g each)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or dill, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Prepare Marinade:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Marinate Salmon:
    • Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag.
    • Pour the marinade over the salmon, making sure it’s evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Bake Salmon:
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
    • Place the marinated salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley or dill.
    • Serve the Icelandic salmon hot, alongside your favorite side dishes.

Optional:

  • Serve the salmon with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and steamed vegetables or a mixed green salad.
