Ingredients:
- 500g (1.1 lbs) cod fillets, or any white fish of your choice
- 500g (1.1 lbs) potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 500ml (2 cups) milk
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the Potatoes:
- Place the diced potatoes in a pot of salted water.
- Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Fish:
- In a separate pot, cover the cod fillets with water.

- Transfer the Plokkfiskur to serving plates.
- Garnish with chopped parsley.
