Ingredients:

  • 8 Icelandic lamb or beef sausages (Pylsur)
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup crispy fried onions (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sweet brown mustard
  • 1/4 cup remoulade sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup pickled cucumbers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup pickled red cabbage
  • 1/4 cup crispy fried onions (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Sausages:
    • Grill or pan-fry the sausages until they are cooked through and have a nice golden-brown color.
  2. Prepare the Toppings:
    • Slice the onion thinly.
    • Chop the fresh dill.
    • Warm up the hot dog buns by lightly toasting them on the grill or in a toaster.
  3. Assemble the Pylsur:
    • Place each grilled sausage in a hot dog bun.
